A needle scaler strips rust, scale, weld slag and old coatings by driving a bundle of loose needles against the surface, so it follows an irregular profile that a disc or a flap wheel would skip over. ABAC offers a 19-needle tool at 3,700 blows per minute and 2.7 kg, and a 28-needle heavy duty tool at 3,500 blows per minute and 3.5 kg for the construction sector.
Both use a pistol grip for ergonomics and an adjustable needle guide so the bundle can be set to the work, and the needles pull out for replacement without tools.
