ABAC builds its piston compressors in six construction types, from 0.6 to 18.5 kW. Direct drive covers the compact and portable machines. EXceed single-stage belt drive and the two-stage Pro Line belt drive cover professional workshop duty. Silent models add external noise insulation, cast iron blocks handle the harder environments, and petrol and diesel engine-driven units work where there is no electricity supply. Receivers run from 6 to 500 litres, with tandem versions to 1,000 litres, at pressures up to 11 bar.
Piston machines are the most economical compressed air technology and are built for intermittent demand, typically running 30 to 35 minutes in every hour at a 50 to 60 per cent duty cycle. Coaxial pumps on 6 to 90 litre receivers at 8 to 10 bar, oil-free and lubricated.
The pump is driven straight off the motor shaft, which keeps the machine light and easy to move. The line runs from the 6 litre START SILENT and the 10 litre SILVERSTONE OS20P up to the 90 litre ESTORIL L30P, and includes oil-free Clean Air models for work where the air must stay uncontaminated.
Single-stage belt drive for light-duty tools, around 390 litres per minute at 10 bar.
EXceed is the single-stage belt-driven line, offered in EXpert, EXpert Oil-Free and EXtensive configurations. The EXP A39B 150 CT3 and the EXT A39B 200 CM3 both deliver 393 litres per minute at 10 bar, on 150 and 200 litre receivers respectively.
Two-stage Pro Line frames to 11 bar, on receivers from 90 to 1,000 litres.
Two-stage compression splits the work across two cylinders, which lowers the discharge temperature and eases the load on the pump. The Pro Line B5900, B6000, B7000 and B7900 frames run to 11 bar; the B7000 270 FT10 YD delivers 1,210 litres per minute and carries an integrated dryer. Tandem versions put two pumps on one receiver of up to 1,000 litres.

Silent models combine precision machining, effective lubrication and external noise insulation to bring the sound level down. They are the choice where the compressor has to stand in the same room as the people using it, rather than in a separate plant room.
Full cast iron pump blocks for harder environments and longer service intervals.
A cast iron block cools better and tolerates more punishing conditions than an aluminium one, which stretches out the service intervals. The CA1 270 and the CA2 500 FT10 sit at the industrial end of the belt-driven line, with the VCF3/200 oil-splash unit below them.
Petrol and diesel units for sites with no mains supply, 4 to 270 litre receivers.
The engineAIR line puts an ABAC pump behind a petrol or diesel engine, so compressed air is available where there is no electricity. Petrol models run from the portable 5/2.5 up to the 9/270 on a 270 litre receiver, and the bi engineAIR 17/90 12 ES is the electric-start diesel.
