R..DR.. Helical Gearmotors

Inline helical gearmotors from SEW-EURODRIVE, supplied by Abtaz for conveying, processing and handling equipment.

SEW-EURODRIVE R..DR.. helical gearmotors combine an inline helical gear unit with a DR.. series AC motor. The result is a compact drive for conveying, processing and handling equipment. The inline layout keeps input and output shafts parallel, so the drive sits neatly along a conveyor frame or machine base.

Abtaz supplies the R, RX and RM variants for new machinery, plant upgrades and replacements. Motors run from IE1 to IE4, with optional spring-applied brakes. Send us the nameplate designation or the application data, and we will confirm a suitable configuration.

  • R series multi-stage gear units

    R series multi-stage gear units

    Fifteen two and three-stage frame sizes, covering 50 to 20,000 Nm.

    The main branch of the range, with ratios from i = 1.30 to 289.74 and, in double gear units, up to i = 27,001. Foot-mounted and flange-mounted designs are available across the band, and the modular concept pairs the gear unit with a DR.. AC motor as an R..DR.. gearmotor or with a servomotor as an R..CMP.

  • RX series single-stage gear units

    Six single-stage frame sizes, for higher output speeds and lower weight.

    SEW lists RX as its own series on the helical gearmotor page. The single-stage construction answers the demand for high output speed or low weight, where the multi-stage R series would give more reduction than the duty needs.

  • RM extended output bearing hub

    A helical gear unit type with an extended output bearing hub.

    RM gear units and RM gearmotors are a distinct SEW type designed for agitating applications. The extended bearing hub accepts high overhung and axial loads and bending moments directly, which removes the separate bearing assembly an agitator shaft would otherwise need.
