ABAC treats compressed air in three stages. Filtration removes particulates and oil aerosol, in grades P, G, S, C, D and V, down to 0.01 micron on the C grade and 0.003 micron on the V grade, each with a published pressure drop so the energy cost is known. Drying removes the moisture the compressor creates: COOL refrigerant dryers hold a 5 °C pressure dew point and DRY holds 3 °C, while the HAD desiccant range reaches a constant −40 to −70 °C for food, pharmaceutical, laboratory and specialist paint work. Storage and condensate management covers air receivers in painted, galvanised and vitrified vessels, with oil and water separators. Flows run from 120 to 18,000 litres per minute at 4 to 16 bar.
Abtaz supplies ABAC air treatment as part of the compressed air installation rather than as a later addition, because a dryer chosen after the pipework is in place is usually the wrong one. Send us the compressor flow, the working pressure, the lowest ambient temperature the pipework will see and the air quality class the process needs. We will confirm a filter train, a dryer type and a receiver size.
