Air Treatment
Compressed air leaves a compressor hot, wet and carrying oil and particulates. Untreated, that air corrodes pipework, shortens the life of tools and valves, and can spoil the product it touches. Air treatment is the equipment that fixes this: filtration to take out particles and oil aerosol, drying to bring the dew point below the coldest point in the system, and storage and condensate management to stabilise supply and dispose of the water safely.
ABAC covers all three. Filters are graded P, G, S, C, D and V, removing particles down to 0.01 micron on the C grade and 0.003 micron on the V grade, with a stated pressure drop for each grade so the energy cost of filtration is known. Refrigerant dryers come as COOL at a 5 °C pressure dew point for general industrial work and DRY at 3 °C for more demanding duty; the HAD desiccant range reaches a constant dew point of −40 to −70 °C for food, pharmaceutical, laboratory and specialist paint spraying. Flows run from 120 to 18,000 litres per minute at 4 to 16 bar. Air receivers are offered painted, galvanised or vitrified, alongside oil and water separators for condensate.
Abtaz supplies ABAC air treatment as part of a complete compressed air installation rather than as an afterthought. Send us the compressor flow, the working pressure, the lowest ambient temperature the pipework will see and the air quality class you need. We will confirm a filter train, a dryer type and a receiver size.
