DR2C.. Synchronous Motors

SEW-EURODRIVE DR2C.. synchronous motors are inverter-duty designs in efficiency class IE5 to IEC TS 60034-30-2. DR2C..A uses interior permanent magnets from 0.25 to 17 kW. DR2C..U is a synchronous reluctance motor without rare-earth magnets, from 11 to 90 kW.

SEW quotes energy losses up to 50% below an IE3 line motor. Abtaz supplies these motors for variable-load and frequent start/stop duty, conveyors, roller tracks and efficiency retrofits. Send us the duty cycle and the inverter already in use.

DR2C.. SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR RANGE

  • DR2C..A interior permanent magnet motors

    IE5 synchronous motors with interior permanent magnets.

    The permanent magnet branch integrates into series-standard machines without redesign. SEW places a DR2C..A up to two frame sizes below an IE3 asynchronous motor of the same rating, which is what frees space in an existing installation.

  • DR2C..U reluctance motors

    IE5 synchronous reluctance motors without rare earth magnets.

    The DR2C..U generates torque purely from reluctance force, using a rotor of stamped steel with no rare earth magnets. That removes the magnet supply chain from the specification while keeping the same IE5 efficiency class and the same inverter-driven operation.
